​Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering
HIG frequently provides Traffic Management Design services to the Lockyer Valley Regional Council (LVRC) as part of their road works approval system. The council regularly engages HIG to prepare Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) and Traffic Management Plans (TMP) for road closures including community events.
We regularly review third party road work submissions against Department of Transport and Main Roads Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) Part 3, providing corrections and recommendations to Council for approval.
HIG has Registered Professional Engineers of Queensland (RPEQ) and TMR qualified Traffic Management Designers (TMD), highly experienced in traffic engineering and transport planning, that are capable of preparing efficient traffic management designs for complex control scenarios, including short term and long term road works with the use of temporary traffic signals and detours.
