Paradise Dam Road upgrades are completed and we're proud to have played a key role in delivering critical infrastructure that supports the future of Paradise Dam.

HIG designed the new bridge at Degilbo Creek, part of a suite of upgrades improving safety, resilience, and connectivity along Paradise Dam Road. A great collaboration with Sunwater and Hazell Bros Group, delivering lasting benefits for the region.

Sunwater has finalised major road improvements supporting the Paradise Dam project, including a new $11 million bridge at Degilbo Creek. This marks the last of three critical road packages designed to improve safety and support increased traffic during construction of the dam’s new wall.

The 57-metre dual-lane bridge – built four metres higher than the previous causeway – dramatically improves flood resilience, reduces road closures and helps minimise project delays.

Delivered by Hazell Brothers and designed by Harrison Infrastructure Group, the bridge project supported 50 local jobs with many contractors and suppliers from the region.

Additional upgrades include:

✅ major intersection improvements at Booyal-Dallarnil Road and the Bruce Highway

✅ enhancements at 27 locations along a 10 km stretch of Paradise Dam Road, including realignments, drainage works, resurfacing and signage
